Godzilla For PS3 And PS4 Gets New Screenshots

February 3, 2015 by Ryan Parreno

The new game does have the new American version in it, but the Japanese original takes center stage.

Bandai Namco have released new screenshots for their upcoming Godzilla game for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.

As we already knew for some time now, this game focuses on the Japanese version of Godzilla, and not even the recent American version.  Fans are unlikely to complain, as these screenshots show off the big G taking it to a MechaGodzilla, Hedorah, and King Ghidorah.

The official wiki, seemingly translated from a Japanese source, claims the game will also have Mothra,  Biollante, Jet Jaguar, Destoroyah, Gigan, as well as different incarnations of Godzilla and Mechagodzilla, including fan favorite Kiryu and last year’s American Godzilla. Also in the game are the Gotengo, the Garuda, and the three different Super X ships. There is even a Super Smash Brothers-like feature where you can collect monster models and objects to look at in a diorama mode.

In contrast to the fighting games of the 2000s, this new game hews closer to the Dreamcast Godzilla Generations games. You go around the city, deliberately causing destruction, although you also have to be mindful of collecting G-Energy, as well as destroying that area’s Energy generator.

The new Godzilla game will be released on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 this summer.
