Do you remember the teaser last December for a game called First Person Lover? All is finally revealed, as the game is now available, completely free.
The game was made in Unity, and can be played in-browser, as well as with download version on PC and Mac. There is even an Oculus Rift version. A word of warning, it seems the install default tries to run the Rift version, so if you don’t have that, go into the folder you installed it in to play it.
So what’s the deal with this game? It turns out it’s an advergame for fashion brand Bjorn Borg, developed by Isbit Games. It describes itself as an online fashion game experience, and has you playing a secret ‘love’ agent, out to eradicate al the hate in the world.
So, the twist here is hate is a large-scale conspiracy, that’s been spread around the world like a Resident Evil T-virus. As a love agent, you can love push enemies off of you, and you are equipped with several weapons of mass seduction to shoot love at hate-filled enemies. including the Kiss Gun, Bubble Blaster, Petal Shotgun, and Rainbow Crossbow. There are also Hate Harvesters to take out.
The game does not take itself very seriously, and although they cite Grand Theft Auto as an influence, the game gives more of a Saints Row vibe. It’s fun for the thirty minutes you will be playing it, and the game links to some clothes in the game that you can buy in the Bjorn Borg shop to actually get for yourself. You can play and download the game here, and check out the trailers above and below.
