Super Smash Bros. 4 Wii U Gets 15 More 8-Player Stages

January 29, 2015 by Tony Ponce

New update includes other minor fixes which have yet to be reported.

One of the wildest new additions in the latest Smash is 8-Player Smash, but the mode is so hectic that only a few stages are deemed large enough to contain all the action. In a new update released today, 15 previously inaccessible stages can now be selected in 8-Player Smash.

There are 9 stages pulled from the standard pool and 6 pulled from their Omega (i.e. "Final Destination") variants:

Regular Stages

Mario Circuit (Brawl)
Luigi's Mansion
Pyrosphere
Norfair
Lylat Cruise
Pokemon Stadium 2
Town and City
Smashville
Wii Fit Studio

Omega Stages

Mario Galaxy
Mario Circuit (Brawl)
The Great Cave Offensive
Lylat Cruise
Pokemon Stadium 2
Town and City

Nintendo mentions that there are other fixes in the update, although as is usually the case, it has failed to detail what those other changes are. I'm sure inquisitive fans will discover the nature of those changes soon enough.
