The newest Final Fantasy Type-0 HD trailer shares more details on the game’s combat system.
You control three of the fourteen students of Class 0 at any one time, each of whom have their own unique abilities. When one of the students fall, they are out for that round, but they can be instantly replaced with anyone else in reserve.
On the other hand, when an enemy falls, they leave Phantoma, which serves as the magic update system for each individual system. The Phantoma color determines its elemental ability.
In general, there is fire, ice, and thunder magic. Collecting the corresponding Phantoma raises spell range and speed. You can also have the three active students combine their powers in a triad maneuver for higher damage.
Finally, a student can willingly take themselves out of a fight to summon an Eidolon, a powerful beast that could finish a fight. Fallen students can always be revived by bringing them back to base.
Fantasy Type-0 HD will release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on March 17.
