During today's Nintendo Direct stream, a new wave of Super Smash Bros. amiibo figurines were announced. This upcoming set will include Robin and Lucina from the Fire Emblem series, Pac-Man, Wario, Ness, and Charizard. They are slated to start showing up in stores in the vaguely dated vicinity of "this spring".
On March 20, another series of amiibo will emerge, this time featuring Super Mario characters Mario, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi, and Toad. Their launch will coincide with the release of Mario Party 10. Check out the Super Smash Bros. amiibo above and below. You can catch a glimpse of the Super Mario Bros. series in the Nintendo Direct video of the livestream below at the 12:37 minute mark.
As announced earlier today, the New Nintendo 3DS XL will feature amiibo support, with an update to the system allowing for Super Smash Bros. play next month.
