Evolve Minimum and Recommended PC Specifications Revealed

January 12, 2015 by Jacob Saylor

It’s a pretty demanding title.

Evolve is one of the most anticipated games of 2015. Releasing in February, Evolve pits players against one another on alien worlds. One person takes on the role of an alien with multiple nuances that make it more powerful; one alien type has a very deadly cloaking ability, for instance. The other players are put on a team that has to make mincemeat of whichever player is put on the other side of things. We're just hoping Turtle Rock Studios, who develops the game, has made sure to balance the game so that one side is not overly dominant of the other.

One thing you may be wondering is just what kind of hardware you're going to need in order to run Evolve. Well, you don't have to look any further. Today, Turtle Rock Studios published both the minimum and recommended system specifications that you'll need to meet:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

INTEL CPU: Core 2 Duo E6600

AMD CPU: Athlon 64 X2 6400

SYSTEM RAM: 4GB

NVIDIA VIDEO CARD: GeForce GTX 560

ATI VIDEO CARD: Radeon HD 5770

VIDEO MEMORY: 1GB

HARD DRIVE: 50GB
OS: Windows 7 64-bit

RECOMMENDED REQUIREMENTS:

INTEL CPU: Core i7-920

AMD CPU: A8-3870K

SYSTEM RAM: 6GB

NVIDIA VIDEO CARD: GeForce GTX 670 or GTX 760

ATI VIDEO CARD: Radeon R9 280

VIDEO MEMORY: 2GB

HARD DRIVE: 50GB

They've also answered the burning question you might have had about how much you can customize the game's settings.

You can adjust a fair bit through the menu system – here’s a quick look (in case you breezed past the screenshot at the top of this story):
