For those unfamiliar, Limbo is an independent game that was released on the Playstation 3. It was received by critics as one of the best independent titles of 2010, and still sees play to this day. All that said, its player base has dropped considerably, looking more like a small, tight-knit community. We're sure Playdead, who developed the title, would like to see the series' popularity bolstered.
If the listing over at PEGI has any truth to it, then that's exactly what is going to happen. PEGI is the game rating system for Europe, and they've listed Limbo as a Playstation 4 title recently. It's been placed in the action genre with a rating of 16 and up, with no release date currently available. The placeholder is January 1, 2015, but we know that's not true.
Would you be interested in a next-generation trek through the world of Limbo? I never got my hands on it, so this is definitely something I can see myself buying into. Journey and Flower were both experiences that turned me into an independent games fan, and it feels like I've committed some sort of crime having not played Limbo.
