Bayonetta 2 launched a couple months back to rave reviews, and several outlets have even awarded it Game of the Year. Our hats off to PlatinumGames, specifically to Bayonetta 2 director Yusuke Hashimoto and his team, for knocking this one well out of the park and into the next county. So what's next for these fine craftsmen?
In an interview with 4Gamer (as interpreted by Siliconera), both Hashimoto and producer Akiko Kuroda touched upon what the Bayonetta team's next move is. Kuroda gave us this little tease:
We've already began working on the next project, but it seems like it'll be a little while longer until we can make an announcement. I hope that we can do something related to the Bayonetta series in 2015 as well, so please keep an eye out for more from Bayonetta!
What kind of Bayonetta project are they planning? It could something game-related, or it could even be another anime film. We don't know, but that's what makes it all so exciting! The Bayonetta train is traveling at full steam, so it's best to keep that momentum going.
