Sony Online Entertainment's FPS MMO PlanetSide 2 will enter into beta testing on PlayStation 4 this January, SOE president John Smedley confirmed today on Twitter.
The PS4 beta will be available from "either the week of the 13th or 20th," wrote Smedley. The executive added that fans should expect more precise details once the development team returns on January 5th.
Planetside 2 was originally due for release on PS4 this year, but was then moved to 2015 with registration for the closed beta beginning earlier this month.
Like other free-to-play titles, PS4 owners won't need a PlayStation Plus subscription despite the online nature of the game.
