Halo: The Master Chief Collection's latest patch, which has already been released by developer 343 Industries, introduces the Spartan Ops co-op campaign from Halo 4.
While The Master Chief Collection launched in November, 343 announced in mid-October that the team was making "technical enhancements" to Spartan Ops, which would cause the campaign's release to be delayed until December.
In an update on Halo Waypoint, the studio announced that the content update adds all 10 episodes from the co-op campaign to The Master Chief Collection at once.
The patch also attempts to fix other issues affecting The Master Chief Collection, such as the game's continuing multiplayer matchmaking problems. Following the patch, matches will only begin when teams are even, and players who quit before the end will receive a loss. In addition, the patch fixes an issue which saw some players get stuck at the 'joining session' message.
A checkpoint issue in Halo 2: Anniversary and The Master Chief Collection's overall stability have also been tackled.
Last week, 343 Industries detailed the steps it's taking to compensate players for the poor state of the game. Anyone who played between November 11th and December 19th will be able to freely download the campaign for Halo 3: ODST which is being ported to Xbox One at 60fps and 1080p, as well as an extra Halo 2 map, and a free month of Xbox Live Gold.
