Ubisoft has confirmed details of its compensation program for Assassin's Creed Unity Season Pass holders in an update on its live blog.
Following the cancellation of the title's Season Pass, Ubisoft announced that those who have a Season Pass or a copy of Unity's Gold Edition (which includes the Season Pass), would be compensated with their choice of one of these games: The Crew, Far Cry 4, Watch Dogs, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag, Rayman Legends, Just Dance 2015.
In the update, Ubisoft has confirmed that Pass holders will be able to redeem their free game from a dedicated website using their Uplay, PlayStation Network, or Xbox Live account. Season Passes activated after November 26th may take some time to register with Ubisoft's system, but the publisher says all Season Passes will be honoured.
You have until March 15th, 2015 to redeem your game of choice, which must be on the same system as your copy of Unity. Season Pass holders will still be entitled to the content of the Pass despite its cancellation, including the Dead Kings DLC and spin-off game Assassin's Creed: Chronicles China.
Assassin's Creed Unity's Season Pass was scrapped due to the excessive problems which plagued the game after launch and is no longer on sale.
