The Creative Assembly has announced a new campaign pack for Total War: Rome 2, titled 'Wrath of Sparta'.
Described as an entirely new campaign for Rome 2, Wrath of Sparta takes place earlier than any previous Total War game. Given its name, it should be no surprise that the pack focuses on Greece, and the Creative Assembly promises a highly detailed map of the country, as well as an all-new tech tree, new units, famous Greek heroes, and wonders.
There's also a focus on ancient Greek athletics and festivals to bring the country's culture to the fore.
"As the legendary warriors of Sparta are called into open conflict against an arrogant Athens by scheming Korinthos and Boiotia, Wrath of Sparta challenges you to dominate the Hellenic world," the press release reads, "However, while the City States vie for control of their homelands, across the Aegean sea the vengeful Persian Empire watches its old foe closely…"
Wrath of Sparta is currently available to pre-order for €13.49, a saving of 10%. The pack is set for release on December 18th.
It's been a busy week for the Creative Assembly, following the release of a new Total War: Attila trailer and the announcement of Total War Battles: Kingdom.
