Valve has revealed the winners of their Team Fortress / Lara Croft crossover TF Tomb contest. Hilariously enough, the top winner did exactly the one mod Valve asked them not to make.
Still, Valve themselves admitted that they recognized the error of their ways after actually seeing the Heavy in short shorts.
Second place is an Egyptian monarchical headdress, fittingly named Crown of the Old Kingdom. Third place went to Lara’s characteristic classic polygonal rims, referred to as Tomb Readers.
The winners got a lot of Square Enix games added to their Steam libraries, but the rest of us get a different incentive. Preorder Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris on Steam and get all three items for their Team Fortress 2 game for free. The game launches on December 9, so there isn’t much time left to preorder. If you were so inclined regardless of the promotion, the game will also be available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
