Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare has done an awesome job of redeeming the franchise. While there wasn't ever a plainly bad title published for the series, it had gotten to the point where there wasn't ever an amazing one. Advanced Warfare takes full advantage of its futuristic setting, offering players a host of interesting weaponry and armor selections. That's right: in the future of Advanced Warfare, our militaries will have exoskeletions that lessen recoil and make our punches heavier.
Sledgehammer Games, who develops Advanced Warfare, has recently announced a new promotion for their game. We're sorry to say that most of you won't be able to achieve this, but it's pretty to look at anyway:
Gamers who have achieved the ranks anywhere between 1-100 will be getting a special golden armor suit. We're not sure exactly how or when this will be implemented, but a tweet from the developer shows that this will definitely be implemented into the game very soon:
"Here's another look at the Grand Master Character Gear set. Awarded to the TOP 100 Ranked Players in #AdvancedWarfare."
What might end up happening is this will turn into the top 1000 players, as there's got to be a lot of rotation happening that high up on the leaderboards. This also makes Advanced Warfare a prime target for hacking. Many first-person shooters have had their ranking systems completely torn asunder by gamers wanting to make themselves out as more skilled than they really are. Though, if this armor is gifted to the top 100 players at a certain time, none of this will apply.
All-in-all, this seems like a really cool idea. While very few of us will ever have the opportunity to wear this armor, having a little something special for the game's few elite is a nice addition to Advanced Warfare's infrastructure.
