Hideo Kojima Won’t Stop Developing Until His Brain Gives Out

August 25, 2021 by Dennis Patrick

Hideo Kojima talks about his enthusiasm in game creativity on his birthday.

There are plenty of video game industry leaders that so many of us look up to. With their brilliant creative works, it’s always exciting to see just what their next project will be about. However, some of these folks are not young and spry as they once were. The age might hurt the body, but as long as Hideo Kojima can think of creative games, you’ll continue to see him in development.

Recently, Hideo Kojima had a birthday, and it put him at 58 years old. This developer has been around for years and has delivered some masterpiece experiences. While you might know him best for Metal Gear Solid, it looks like Hideo Kojima has other projects in the works that will entice players to pick up. After splitting off from Konami, Hideo Kojima opened up his studio, Kojima Productions. This allowed the developer to bring out his first video game project under the new studio banner, Death Stranding.

In case you're wondering, I'm the same age as Brad Pitt, and Tom Cruise is one year older.

That title cretainly has a following, and it’s far from his last works. As mentioned, Hideo recently had a birthday, and on Twitter, the developer expressed his creative power. Being creative is something of an instinct to Hideo Kojima, and while his brain holds up, you can expect more creative works from this developer. So far, we don’t know what’s beyond the IP for Death Stranding. The Kojima Productions studio is currently working on a new Death Stranding Director’s Cut, which will be exclusive to the PlayStation 5.

While the focus is on bringing out Death Stranding Director’s Cut, there’s bound to be something else in the works over at Kojima Productions. At any rate, during today’s Gamescom Opening Night Live event, we’ll likely see some more details come up about Death Stranding Directors Cut. Again, if you’re interested in this game, you’ll need to own a PlayStation 5. With that said, the standard Death Stranding video game release is available for PlayStation 4 and PC platforms.
