Today, some good news for Destiny players has hit the airwaves. Destiny is a game that relies heavily on grinding. Players have to spend a lot of time in the game world in order to achieve much of anything – unless, of course, you're just impeccably lucky. Most of us aren't, though, so we spend our time hoping that rare equipment or gear will drop the next time we kill a Raid boss or win a Crucible match.
Some of this gear is labelled as 'Exotic' and can only be obtained from special vendors or engrams. Picking up one of these equipment pieces is an event in and of itself, as they are extremely powerful. They are the one class of weapons that has seen the most adjustment since Destiny's release.
Many players are worried that their Exotic gear will be phased out once Destiny's first major expansion, The Dark Below, hits digital store shelves on December 9. Apparently, Bungie Studios has an entire system ready to address this issue. You'll be able to upgrade all of your Exotic gear through a brand new system implemented in The Dark Below. While the next expansion will probably bring some equipment that is superior to even the upgraded Exotic gear, this means that you'll be able to hold on to it longer. That said, maybe upgraded Exotic weaponry or equipment will be even better than some of the new stuff.

We promised to make all of your Exotics worth the price of ownership, and you should expect to hear more about how they’ll continue to be prized possessions in the short term future.
