Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare has seen a lot of praise for being one of the more unique entries into the franchise. While the game still feels very similar to its brothers and sisters in the Call of Duty universe, it puts a very interesting spin on an old formula. The introduction of futurized weaponry and a more impactful storyline make Advanced Warfare the best Call of Duty game we've played in in the past few years.
Activision and Advanced Warfare developer Sledgehammer games want to keep this forward momentum rolling, as their first major downloadable content package – Havoc – will be making its way to gamers in early 2015. This DLC package will come with a new weapon: the AE4 directed energy Assault Rifle.
Here are the official specifications of the gun:
The AE4 combines a versatile firing mechanism with all-around movement speed and handling. In addition to the base weapon, the AE4 Widowmaker custom variant will also be included.

Gamers will also be able to get their hands on the base version of the assault rifle: the AE4. As a bonus to those players lucky enough to have gotten their Season Passes for Advanced Warfare, you'll get early access to both of these weapons on December 11. If you haven't yet gotten your Season Pass or are expecting it during the holidays, then you'll be fine: Activision has made it clear that anyone who buys into the program before Havoc's release will get instant access to the weaponry.
