During this console generation, Capcom has been pretty quiet. We know that they've got Deep Down in development for the Playstation 4, but given the amount of time between announcements, we're starting to think that there is more happening at the company than they are letting on. As it turns out, this was a pretty valid assumption. In the latest edition of gaming magazine Famitsu, company director and producer Jun Takeuchi teased a new game announcement.
Takeuchi was first asked how Deep Down development was coming along, as this is Capcom's first experience with the Playstation 4.
“Of course. Right now, we’re seeing how far we can push the game engine. You’ll be surprised by the quality of the games we’re working on right now.
“I think we’ll be able to announce it soon, so please look forward to it. I realize that’s obnoxious (laughs).
“It’s gonna be something that will even turn heads overseas.”
Playstation Experience, an event that usually features some pretty big Sony announcements, will be happening in early December. Some key members of Capcom's team will be there, so we're expecting some new gameplay of Deep Down. It's very likely that we'll also get to hear about this new game, even if it is only a twenty second tease or something of that nature.
