Earlier today, Creative Assembly announced the February 17th release date for Total War: Attila. Soon after, the game showed up for $44.99 on Steam Store with a bonus DLC added if you buy before the release date.
If that bonus DLC is enough to get you to pre-order, you're actually better off by buying the Total War: Attila Steam key through GMG, which has a 25% off coupon promotion running this week. The coupon cuts a sizable $11.24 out of the list price on Attila.
- Total War: Attila — $33.75 (list $45)
- Use Coupon: 1MZ9FW-H92JSD-2CT74F
GMG's coupon code is entered in the text box labeled "Add voucher" at checkout . The coupon is only good through Thursday, November 27th at 8am Pacific.
The new Total War: Attila is actually a standalone game, not an expansion, just as Napolean: Total War was to Empire: Total War. The game will take up at least 35GB of hard drive space. As far as graphics go, it's recommended you run a GeForce GTX 560 Ti, AMD Radeon HD 5870, or higher.
Pre-ordering Total War: Attila also gets you the "Viking Forefathers Culture Pack" for free. This DLC releases on Day One (February 17th) and unlocks The Danes, The Jutes and The Geats factions. These factions played a role as raiders of Britain and northern Gaul.
Today the Total War series released a new trailer for the Viking Forefathers Culture Pack, view able here. The announcement trailer for Total War: Attila released back in September and can be found here, while the "White Horse" trailer released two weeks ago and can be viewed here. Yep, that should be enough Attila footage to keep you occupied for the next 10 minutes.
