Mordheim: City of the Damned is now Available through Steam Early Access

November 21, 2014 by Jacob Saylor

Join the Warhammer universe once again.

Set in the Warhammer universe, Mordheim: City of the Damned looks to throw players into a tactical, turn-based battle between life and death – literally. The living will fight against the undead, this game's release into the Steam Early Access program feels a bit late, as it would have been a perfect Halloween title.

At the moment, you can buy the game for around 20 percent off. That's a modest price cut from the game's original MSRP of $39.99 down to $31.99. With the number of games that Steam offers at cheap prices, that extra $8 could get you pretty far. Make sure your PC is equipped to play Mordheim, as even its minimum hardware requirements are pretty extensive.

We've listed the system requirements for you here:

  • OS: Windows Vista/Windows 7/Windows 8
  • Processor: AMD/INTEL Dual-Core 2.4 GHz
  • Memory: 4096 MB RAM
  • Graphics: 1024 MB DirectX 9.0c compatible AMD Radeon HD 5850/NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 or higher
  • Network: Broadband Internet connection
  • Hard Drive: 9 GB available space
  • Sound Card: DirectX 9 compatible
  • Additional Notes: Internet connection required for online gaming and game activation

The development team claims that they are all fans of the Warhammer franchise making a game that is set in the same universe, so we're expecting some really great things from Mordheim. There's nothing like the burning passion of a fan, so hopefully the the team has been able to channel that energy into long nights at the development studio.
