Blizzcon 2014 is just around the corner and Blizzard Entertainment wants to make sure you're paying attention. If you've ordered either a physical or virtual ticket already, you'll be gifted with a number of different in game goodies across all of Blizzard's games. Considering the value placed on exclusivity and collectibility in Blizzard's titles, we think it's of some importance to get your hands on these offerings in order to set yourself apart from the pack. Back in my World of Warcraft playing days, I know I got a pang or two of jealousy whenever I saw someone ride across the screen with a Blizzcon exclusive mount.
At any rate, Diablo 3 will be offering up some real cool goodies this year. Specifically, you'll get access to the new legendary weapon transmogrification patterns. Here's a quick look at them:
The weapons in the picture below are:
- Bow of the Lost Warlord
- Fist Weapon of the Shattered Hand
- Deadeye's Mace (1-Hand Mace)
- The Blackrock Destroyer (2-Hand Barbarian Mighty Weapon)
- Gul'dan's Secret (Wizard Source)
- Ner'Zhul's Staff of Shadowmoon
These are listed in order, so you can relate the name to the picture. We're not really sure how that fist weapon functions as a fist weapon, but I guess we'll leave that up to players to figure out. They look like swords – I don't want to run around Diablo 3 as Edward Scissorhands, thank you very much. All of the weapons aside from the gaudy fist weapons look pretty cool and feature a name that harkens back to World of Warcraft. They are a nice addition to your wardrobe, if nothing else.
There are a number of panels available to attendees:
