It's happening for real! In the Nintendo Direct stream airing right now, Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata confirmed that The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask is coming to 3DS in Spring 2015.
Though the original Majora's Mask required the Expansion Pak to run on the N64, you won't need the New Nintendo 3DS to play this updated version. It'll run on the original 3DS as well as 2DS without problem.
Nintendo tried to keep this a secret for a long while now, but it did a poor job! Good news for us, though!
