Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX Comes with Plushie, Steelbook, Collectible Pin and more

November 5, 2014 by Jacob Saylor

Square Enix pushes their remix games, hoping to prepare everyone for Kingdom Hearts 3.

Kingdom Hearts is a series of great magnitude. When the first game in the franchise was announced, nobody really thought that Final Fantasy and Disney could realistically coexist. However, when preorders became available and the game started to get high scores from reviewers, the naysayers were quickly silenced. Kingdom Hearts turned into quite the phenomenon in video games and ever since the series' second main series entry, we've been left wanting more. While Kingdom Hearts 3 may not have a solidified release date yet, it's reported that the game will be here sometime in 2015. It's entirely likely that it gets pushed back into 2016, considering the delays Final Fantasy XV has had. At any rate, we'd rather wait and play a game of good quality, especially since this is a sort of homecoming for the series.

Square Enix wants to prepare you for Kingdom Hearts 3 with Kingdom Hearts HD ReMIX 1.5 and 2.5. These titles encompass all of the older games in the series. For those of you – like me – who may not have had the time or wherewithal to trudge through all of the offshoot titles in the franchise, these ReMIX titles should bring you up to speed. Square Enix has recently announced a Collector's Edition that comes with both 2.5 and 1.5, playable on Sony's Playstation 3. There's also a bunch of goodies that come packaged with the actual games:

  • Steelbook Case
  • Collectible Pin
  • Collector's Box
  • Heartless Plushie
  • 30 page artbook
  • Kingdom Hearts
