Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham: DC All Access Reveals Playable Parasite

October 29, 2014 by Ryan Parreno

The addition of Superman’s fearsome foe means any DCU character who could be fun to play could be playable in the game.

In the latest episode of DC All Access, iJustine joined Tiffany Smith to reveal the latest character for Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham Superman’s fearsome rogue, Parasite.

Parasite is a persona taken by as much as five different characters in the main DC universe, as well as the other versions in alternate universes and other media. All Parasites can absorb life energy fron other creatures by physical contact, to the point of powerlessness. Some versions can also absorb the powers from other metahumans. Parasite was conceived of as a foil for Superman, and his Lego version may be based on the Rudy Jones version, as he appears in the comics and the WB cartoons.

Justice and Tiffany also showed some of the other playable characters in multiplayer, including Bat-Cow, Krypto, Shazam, Supergirl, Frankenstein, Gorilla Grodd, and Swamp Thing. They also showed off a new radar feature that allows you to instantly see destructible pieces.

Parasite coming into the game is further proof the door is open for any DC hero or villain to be playable in this Lego Batman game. What DCU character would you like to play? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.

Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham will be released on November 14 on Windows, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, iOS, and PlayStation Vita.
