Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Franchise Will Continue To Get Supported

August 5, 2021 by Dennis Patrick

Could we see a sequel announcement soon?

At one time, EA had exclusive rights to develop Star Wars video games. During their run, they had a big breakout hit from development studio Respawn Entertainment. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was a game that so many enjoyed not only for the narrative but the gameplay mechanics as well. It’s often described as a Souls-like video game but set in the Star Wars universe. Now fans are waiting on an official sequel announcement.

EA recently had an investors call where the CEO spoke on a few different aspects. First, according to a credible analyst, Daniel Ahmad, the EA company will continue to invest in the Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order franchise. This should be welcoming news for fans who have been waiting on a sequel. However, we don’t have any official announcements just yet regarding the continuation of this franchise. Instead, the game recently saw a release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S platforms.

EA Conference Call:

– Mass Effect Legendary Edition performed well above expectations.

– Will continue to invest in the Jedi Fallen Order franchise

– Battlefield 2042 was the most discussed new game during June. Trailers received 210m views across all channels.

We know that over 10 million units for this game were sold by March 2020, so that’s quite a significant number. Likewise, it’s been a favorable title in the eyes of critics and fans alike. So it wouldn’t be shocking to see a new installment in the works. Still, right now, Respawn Entertainment is hiring on for a unique single-player video game experience. They are also still supporting their big free-to-play FPS hit, Apex Legends.

For some franchise fans, EA no longer being an exclusive developer for Star Wars games could be a good thing. Ubisoft’s Massive Entertainment is already developing a new Star Wars game of its own. However, details on the title have yet to come out. It should be interesting to see how Massive Entertainment’s upcoming Star Wars title does against the heavy-hitting Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order release.
