Assassin’s Creed Unity Trailer Touts The Immersion Of The Open World

October 27, 2014 by Ryan Parreno

Gameplay and setting have been incorporated into each other seamlessly.

Ubisoft has unveiled a new trailer for Assassin’s Creed Unity, playing up how the open world creates a feeling of immersion in its players.

First off, they created a highly detailed Revolutionary Paris. This recreation was heavily researched for accuracy’s sake, but also contains a fair amount of entertaining narratives. It has also been designed to accommodate gameplay. What is remarkable with Unity is the sheer density of detail compared to other games.

The Paris Stories and Murder Mysteries, in turn, are gameplay features adapted to better suit the backdrop of Revolutionary Paris. This Assassin’s Creed is no longer straight to business; as there is a huge emphasis in involving you with each main and side quest’s narrative. Ubisoft has approached the actual execution of missions as stories in themselves as well, so even minor encounters are designed to be memorable.

To complement these, Treasure Hunts and Heists will indulge your desire to explore the entirety of Paris, something Ubi hopes to inspire within you. The Treasure Hunts let you search obscure, winding nooks and crannies, while Heists involve breaking secure areas, and are the ideal setting for online multiplayer.

Lastly, the Café Theatre serves as a hub of sorts, but Ubi wants you to think of it as more than that. It is no accident that Ubi placed it in a bar; even when you’re not involved in a mission, they want you to feel that you are in Paris, while training, going through your inventory and achievements, and just looking for new things to do.

Assassin’s Creed Unity will be released in November 11 to Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
