The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has a new trailer, showing the opening cinematic of the game and titled 'the Trail'. The video was released at the Golden Joysticks award show in London today, where the game picked up the 'Most Wanted' prize.
The video focuses on Yennefer of Vengerberg, and sees Geralt and his mentor Vesemir in pursuit of the sorceress through the Temerian kingdom's capital city of Vizima.
CD Projekt RED says: "Foreshadowing the story of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, 'The Trail' Opening Cinematic is an epic sneak peek into the adventure that awaits gamers in Wild Hunt. See witchers Geralt of Rivia and his mentor Vesemir pursue Geralt’s long lost love, the immensely powerful, raven-black-haired sorceress — Yennefer of Vengerberg."
Yennefer had sent Geralt a letter asking to meet the Witcher, but the village where they were due to rendezvous has been destroyed, meaning Geralt has to set off to find her.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is set for release on February 24th for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
