The Last of Us is well over a year old at this point and it still can't seem to stay out of the headlines. The Naughty Dog developed behemoth shattered our perceptions of what good survival horror was and sent the Playstation 3 off with a bang. This is not to say that Sony's last generation console is dying, but the industry is certainly looking forward to the Playstation 4 at this point in time. This new path has not shaken The Last of Us from breaching new territory, as a new 'Game of the Year' edition will be making its way to Europe in November.
The new Game of the Year edition will be exclusive to the Playstation 3, featuring the main single player game and all of the downloadable content currently available. While The Last of Us may be exponentially popular, we are not expecting much more DLC to be hitting the marketplace anytime soon. It is a sad reality, but Naughty Dog must focus on new projects.
Here is a listing of the content, thanks to Playstation Blog:
- Left Behind – Delve into Ellie’s past in this single-player prequel chapter
-
Abandoned Territories & Reclaimed Territories – Fight for survival in eight multiplayer
maps - Grounded Mode – A harder single-player difficulty mode
This new edition of The Last of Us will cost gamers €39.99 RRP across Europe, which is a bit less than other new releases. If you have not gotten to experience this amazing title and still have not upgraded to the Playystation 4, this would be the best option available to you. Seriously, do not miss out on this titillating adventure.
