Dragon Age 3: Inquisition: Cassandra Voice Actress Says She Is Now More Human

October 20, 2014 by Ryan Parreno

Miranda Raison shares insights on how her character has matured since Dragon Age 2.

Bioware has shared a new interview with Cassandra Pendagrast voice actress, Miranda Raison, on how her character has changed for Dragon Age 3: Inquisition.

Miranda describes how Cassandra is a changed person after Dragon Age 2, although she still exudes that tough exterior when you first met her. The word Miranda used is not ‘soft’, but ‘human.’ Cassandra hasn’t mellowed down, but she has opened herself up.

Case in point; her relationship with Varric, which will always have a level of acrimony. While Cassandra had no patience for Varric in Dragon Age 2, now she seems to have a better understanding of where he’s coming from. This is also a Cassandra who knows how to comfort people, a trait that would seem out of place in older games.

In fact, Miranda says that Cassandra will reveal herself to be quite the romantic, something you can probably explore if you choose her as a romance option.

Cassandra also has inner demons, and Inquisition will explore more of her childhood and background so that you will have a better idea of where she’s coming from.

Cassandra is still a warrior through and through, and will likely be your muscle out in the battlefield, but now she is a more complicated character, perhaps closer to someone you know from real life.

Dragon Age 3: Inquisition will be released on November 18 on Windows, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
