Final Fantasy 14 is getting its first major expansion, called Heavensward, in spring 2015. This expansion brings with it a new story to complement the new features and gameplay additions.
First, here are the changes coming with version 3.0
· Level cap raised to 60
· New areas Ishgard, Dravanian Forelands, Floating Landmasses and Continents
· A new race to play as
· Many new jobs
· New Primals
· New dungeons
· New raids
· Personal FC Airships
· New gear
· New recipes
In general, you can expect content to expand, from version 3.0 onwards.
Heavensward will introduce several new storylines with each new release. The first story is set in the Ishgard Holy See, during the thousand year long Dragonsong War.
The Holy See of Ishgard is a closed city, ruled by four Noble Houses and one Archbishop. Ishgard is an oppressively medieval city, worshipping a god called Halone the Fury, and constantly in a state of repair from the thousand year old conflict.
The trailer mainly promises an exciting new action adventure, and Square Enix promises a dynamic Ishgard, with its architecture and culture reflecting a city ruined by a war that’s become a constant in daily life, while the rich and powerful are sheltered in their imposing towers.
