Pokemon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire: Mega Beedrill and Mega Pidgeot Revealed

October 10, 2014 by Tony Ponce

Latest CoroCoro magazine also officially confirms Mega Latios and Latias.

Serebii has uploaded scans of the next issue of Japan's CoroCoro, and once again we've got the reveal of more Mega Evolutions in Pokemon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire. This time, Beedrill and Pidgeot get the upgrade. Their types don't change — Mega Pidgeot remains a Normal / Flying-type but with No Guard, while Mega Beedrill stays a Bug / Poison-type but with Adaptability.

Also in the scans are Mega Latios and Latias. Now, we've known since X & Y that this Mega pair existed, but The Pokemon Company hadn't officially revealed them. This appears to be their grand debut, along with some additional details. There will be special distributions in the future that'll award players Eon Tickets, which are used to obtain regular Latios in Omega Ruby and regular Latias in Alpha Sapphire. You'll need one of the duo to fly up to the sky islands, which are where you'll be able to obtain non-event Legendaries like Reshiram, Zekrom, Dialga, and Palkia.

Pokemon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire hits 3DS on November 21.
