Nintendo Confirms More Updates Are Coming To Animal Crossing: New Horizons

July 27, 2021 by Dennis Patrick

The first new update is set to arrive on July 29th.

One of the biggest hits to release on the Nintendo Switch last year was Animal Crossing: New Horizons. It came just in time as well because the world was going through so many complex changes. With the worldwide pandemic going on to new scary heights, Animal Crossing: New Horizons was a bit of an escape. If you’re still actively playing the game, then you might be delighted to know more updates are coming.

With Animal Crossing: New Horizons, updates have been slowing down. Fortunately, things are going to be ramping right back up, and it actually starts this month. It looks like a new update will arrive for this game on July 29, 2021. Unfortunately, we don’t have a ton of information about this new upcoming update. All that’s been said so far is that we will receive weekly firework shows and new seasonal items.

This wasn’t the only tweet from Nintendo of America. Nintendo was also able to confirm that more updates are currently in development. Again, nothing more was said, but at the very least, we know that Animal Crossing: New Horizons hasn’t been dropped in support. All we can do right now is wait and see just what else the developers will be introducing players when the new set of updates arrive. Of course, it will also be interesting to see how many players show back up to see these updates, to begin with.

It’s been a while before we received updates on Animal Crossing: New Horizons. As a result, we might have seen more players hop onto something else. Still, there’s always the chance that if enough significant updates hit the game, then we could see a resurgence of players logging back online to explore their island or visit friends digitally once again.
