Activision has outlined the free upgrade plans for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, as the download size for the Xbox One version was revealed.
The Xbox One version of the game will be a 45.84 GB download.
The free upgrade plans have a lot of provisions. Mainly, it only applies to digital versions, and it expires March 31, 2015.
You can only do the upgrade from Xbox 360 to Xbox One, or PlayStation 3 to PlayStation 4. You need to log in on your 8th gen console using the same account (Xbox Live or PSN) that you use on your 7th gen console.
On the upside, you still get to keep the game on your PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360, and all the data is shared. Your progress, stats, and gear are shared between your two PlayStations or Xboxes. If you bought the Atlas Gorge multiplayer map, you can play it on both your consoles. If you bought the Season Pass, all four DLC packs will also be shared between the two consoles. You will need to redeem Atlas Gorge and the Season Pass before March 31, 2015, and the DLC packs will only be available when they are released.
How do you like all this news so far? Would you get an 8th generation console to match your 7th generation console thanks to this offer?
