Destiny came out last month to mixed reviews, but for some reason, can't seem to stop gaining traction with gamers. Whether it's the current lack of titles or something else, we're not sure. There were definitely enough titles sold to make this a profitable venture for Bungie Studios, who developed the title. Given all of Destiny's success, we're looking towards the future to try and ascertain its longevity.
It appears that we aren't the only ones, as popular Youtube channel DefendTheHouse has added Destiny to its long line of quality productions. Specifically, they've made one of their archetypal 'Mythbusters' episodes to debut the game on their channel. We think this is a pretty great fit, given that there are so many undiscovered nuances and secrets held within the game's confines.
Here are the myths that get either 'Confirmed' or 'Busted' in the three-minute long video:
Myth: You can splatter enemies with a sparrow.
Confirmed!
Myth: Your sparrow can kill enemies after you have jumped off of it.
Confirmed!
Myth: If you aim while crouched behind cover, you will peek over it.
Confirmed!
Myth: You can have two Ward of Dawn shields out at the same time.
Busted!
Myth: You cannot kill a Hobgoblin while they have their shield up.
Busted!
Myth: You can avoid damage from a Warlock's Axion Bolt by sitting down.
Confirmed!
The last bit about avoiding damage from the Warlock's special ability by simply sitting down is amazing – definitely worthy of the Mythbusters title that DefendTheHouse uses.
