We have over three hours of footage for your for the Bloodborne Alpha.
The alpha requires a network connection. This test is intended to support devs in optimizing online multiplayer, server tests, and other online features. There is a survey to play at the end as well.
The alpha allows you to choose and change control settings, game settings, and brightness adjustment. Under Control Settings, you can change camera x and y axes, camera sensitivity, auto-targeting, camera auto-adjusting, and controller vibration. Under game settings, you can choose to keep the display HUD on or off, and adjust music and sound effects volume.
When you start the game, you get to choose a character, although this really just allows you to choose your weapons. You can choose between these weapon pairs:
· Saw Cleaver and Blunderbuss (Standard)
· Hunter’s Axe and Pistol (Heavy)
· Kirkhammer and Blunderbuss (Sword and Heavy Attack)
· Warped Twinblades and Pistol (Agile)
Our demos show players testing around the moves. Some mess around with the gestures, and there is a shoving mechanic that you use to open up crates to find hidden items.
We have three demo videos to share with you here. The first and shortest video cuts straight to the chase, giving a brief look at the game’s intro screens, as well as a look at the alpha boss, a Cleric beast.
Bloodborne will be released exclusively on PlayStation 4 on February 6, 2015.
