Mortal Kombat X Trailer Explores Quan Chi’s Dark Powers

October 2, 2014 by Stephen Daly

Quan Chi will have three fighting variations.

Mortal Kombat X's roster has expanded with the newly confirmed Quan Chi, who has three different fighting styles as shown in a new trailer.

Shaun Himmerick, the game's executive producer, says Quan Chi will play a "major role" in Mortal Kombat X's story. In the video we see Quan Chi in action, including a special warlock variation power which allows him to open "inter-dimensional dark portals" which "extend Quan Chi's attacks and special moves to create unpredictable combos."

The Sorcerer variation gives you the ability to cast powerful spells at targeted areas or make yourself more powerful, while the Summoner variation can draw forth a beast from the NetherRealm to help out during out a fight.

Mortal Kombat X was announced back in early June and is in development for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One and you can check out some recent gameplay footage from PAX here.
