YouTuber Ashe goes in detail on the Dragon Age 3: Inquisition Character Creation trailer revealed yesterday.
Frostbite 3 has afforded Dragon Age Inquisition with an extensive creator, comparable to Sims 4’s Create-A-Sim.
There are 62 variables for facial attributes, and it has that box that allows creators to pull these attributes in different directions. This is similar to The Sims 4’s push-and-pull creator mechanics.
Races get different tattoos, with different stylistic attributes representative of each race. Daelish tattoos, for example, will be very delicate, compared to Qunari warpaint.
There are 2 male and 2 female voices available, one American and one British each. These voices can be tested in the creator section to your heart’s content. You will not be allowed to use a female voice on a male character and vice versa.
Color wheels cover most but not all color based attributes. However, some attributes, such as skin tone, do not fall under the color wheel.
The full range of customization options is available to the player from the onset.
Players will not be able to make their own Dragon Age Origins style portraits. In place of this, Bioware is placing a hand where your portrait would be, that can glow green or red. This is meant to immediately communicate your status better.
However, there will be an image of your character that will be kept in your Dragon Age Keep, as part of the character profile. You are prompted to take a picture for this in character creator mode.
Dragon Age 3: Inquisition will be available on November 18 for Windows, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
