SteelSeries Unveils New Family of Siberia Headsets

September 30, 2014 by Ian Miles Cheong

The long-running series of gaming headsets from SteelSeries has just gotten an update.

Today, SteelSeries, best known for its gaming peripherals such as mice, keyboards, and gaming headsets, has announced an all new Siberia headset family with the introduction of six new Siberia headsets.

“For us, Siberia is the definition of what gaming audio looks, feels and sounds like. When it was first introduced, Siberia delivered a sense of style that was unique to what was typically expected from gaming audio. It produced exactly what was, and is necessary – ‘forget-that-you’re-wearing-it’ comfort and great sound,” said Tino Soelberg, SteelSeries CTO.

“The new Siberia family takes this foundation and extends it into a full product range that delivers an incredibly awesome audio experience for the gamer in everyone”

Here’s what’s in store (descriptions by SteelSeries):

Siberia v3 ($99.99) – Our core headset known for its amazing comfort and rich audio. The audioscape has been completely redesigned to create a new, fresh, take on a legendary gaming headset loved by gamers around the world for a decade.

Siberia v3 Prism ($139.99) – An upgraded version of the analog Siberia v3, the v3 Prism ups the ante with 16.8 million color illumination options, a built -in soundcard for a rich audio experience and compatibility with the world’s best gaming software, SteelSeries Engine 3.

Siberia Elite Prism ($199.99) – Our new model of the hugely-successful Siberia Elite has been upgraded to be the ultimate audio experience from SteelSeries. Boasting a new microphone, ear cushion refinement, and upgraded USB soundcard, the Siberia Elite Prism is our commitment to never stop innovating and improving our products.

Siberia RAW Prism ($59.99) – The new entry to the Siberia brand is an entry-level offering that delivers our premium audio experience at a very friendly price. The RAW Prism is very lightweight, but offers a fully-loaded Siberia experience with 16.8 million color options, on-ear mic mute controls, and full compatibility with SteelSeries Engine 3.
