Is a Fallout 4 announcement coming up soon? There are specific changes in Three Dog, AKA voice actor Erik Todd Dellums, that makes it appear so.
Erik has been tweeting passive-aggresively about Fallout 4 for some time now. Every time he makes a tease, it comes with almost immediate qualifications and declarations that he is just sharing his passion as a fan. Many fans have taken these teases for granted now.
However, there are two things that have changed:
1) The number of tweets Erik has made referring to Fallout 4 in the past few years has suddenly started increasing in recent months. One particular tweet refers to preparing to use your bottlecaps.
2) In his latest disclaimer, to the bottlecaps tweet, Erik says he will stop making these teases until something good really is coming soon. So far, he has been true to his word.
Not coincidentally, the date for The Great War is coming up. October 23, 2077 is that fateful day when all the nuclear capable nations launched all their nuclear weapons, in an exchange that lasted two hours. Simply put, this catastrophe set in effect the formation of the Fallout world to begin with.
Erik may have laid off the teases knowing the real thing is about to be announced soon. While October 23, 2014 is a good date to announce the game, it is also believable that said announcement is coming in the next Quakecon. Whatever the case, this is certainly one of the most anticipated announcements ever.
