Hyrule Warriors: Here’s the Official US TV Commercial

September 16, 2014 by Tony Ponce

YOU are the hero.

The release of the Ninendo-Koei Tecmo collaboration Hyrule Warriors is just around the corner. It's time for the American ad campaign to kick off! If you happen to turn on your TV in the next couple of weeks, you might be greeted by the above commercial.

This television spot seems rather uncharacteristic for Nintendo as of late. There is no family huddled in the living room, forcing fake laughter. There are no crazy GamePad or motion control demonstrations. In fact, there's something decidedly 90s about the whole production — it takes you back to when videogame advertising said stuff like, "The world is in peril, and only you can save it! Use your magical skills to defeat the evil so and so!" Very nostalgic.

Hyrule Warriors arrives for Wii U on September 26.
