Ubisoft has finally revealed the release date of the Wii U version of Watch Dogs to be November 18th in North America, November 20th in Europe, and November 21st in Ireland and the UK.
Watch Dogs will make use of the Wii U's unique hardware and offer a detailed interactive map of the city of Chicago on the system's GamePad. You'll also be able to play Watch Dogs using only the Wii U GamePad thanks to Off-TV Play. Watch Dogs for Wii U is being developed for Ubisoft Bucharest with help from Ubisoft Montreal.
The game has been available since May on PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One and Ubisoft has said that Watch Dogs will likely be the last "mature" game they release on Wii U due to poor sales of titles such as ZombiU and Assassin's Creed on the platform. Ubisoft claims the delay of the Wii U version was made to ensure the game made full use of the Wii U's capabilities.
For a while there it seemed the game may have been cancelled altogether but now those who chose Nintendo's hardware will only need to wait a little longer to get their hands on Aiden Pierce's story and see it for themselves.
