Evolution Studios focused on muscle cars, most of which were made in the last five years. In contrast to Sony’s other racing franchise, Gran Turismo. they did not go for a variety of vehicles.
In Gran Turismo, slower, and even pedestrian cars are included, with the understanding that fans will win races and earn cash, to slowly tune the cars they have, and eventually earn their way to buying better and more powerful cars. Some fans are also car aficionados, and enjoy the notion of having a virtual garage.
Of course, Driveclub is a completely different game. Evolution wants fans to focus on the team racing aspect, so the cars they can get are already powerful and fast on their own.
A fan did note that there may be even better cars than those found here, possibly as secret unlockables or future DLC.
A fan made a gallery of these cars, and you can check them out below. Bear in mind that these are not in-game graphics, but glamor shots of the cars in real life.
Driveclub will be released on October 2014 exclusively to PlayStation 4.
