Johnny Gat, one of Saints Row’s most beloved characters is getting a game of his very own in a standalone expansion pack for Saints Row IV, dubbed Gat out of Hell. It’s set for release in January 2015 for both last-gen and new-gen platforms, as well as the PC.
In Gat out of Hell players take on the role of Johnny Gat as he is sent into hell via a nefarious spirit board incident and left to combat demons, the horrors of the underworld (including prominent historical figures) and, of course, the Devil himself.
Players take on the role of either Gat or Kinzie Kensington as either one of them tears apart Hell in a quest to save the leader of the Saints’ soul. There’s everything from historical icons, old friends, older enemies, a talking gun, and even a full length musical number to enjoy in the game.
Gat out of Hell is set for release on January 27, 2015 for the Americas and Janaury 30, 2015 for international territories on the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.
In addition to the new standalone expansion, the original game is getting remastered for release on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in a title called Saints Row IV: Re-Elected. That’s out on the same day as Gat out of Hell.
