King’s Bounty: Dark Side Now Available on Steam

August 20, 2014 by Ian Miles Cheong

The turn-based strategy RPG is now available for purchase on Steam.

1C Company has announced that its newest turn-based strategy game, King’s Bounty: Dark Side, is now available through digital distribution on Steam. For those unfamiliar with the franchise, the King’s Bounty games play a lot like the Heroes of Might and Magic games, but with a hex-based combat grid instead of a square grid. This, among other features, set the two series apart.

While mainly a continuation of the series and offering more of the same, the new game sees the inclusion of a new companion system that allows each character to have different companions. It also comes with a host of new units, artifacts, and rage abilities. In all, there are 100 new quests and 15 new locations for players to visit.

The game’s Standard Edition is available for $24.99 on Steam, and its Premium Edition, which includes the Dark Side Cookies bonus DLC that features the Clot of Darkness amulet, two additional locations,l and a dozen additional quests and a new unit, costs $29.99.

You can watch a little of the game in the trailer below.
