Hyrule Warriors: Unboxing of the Japanese Special Edition

August 18, 2014 by Tony Ponce

The Treasure Box contains a scarf, a treasure chest, a Triforce clock, and an art book.

Hyrule Warriors is already out in Japan, where it's known as Zelda Musou. That also means that Japanese buyers are able to get their mitts on either of the two special editions exclusive to that region. Nintendo-focused writer Daan Koopman has managed to obtain the beefier of the two editions — the Treasure Box — and shared his acquisition with an unboxing video.

As we mentioned before, the Treasure Box contains a copy of the game, a scarf, a treasure chest, a Triforce clock, and codes for the three alternate costume DLC packs. In the video, we see that the scarf and treasure chest are of quite a decent size — something not mentioned much before is that the chest actual plays the "item get" jingle when opened! The clock is a little on the teensy size, but no biggie. And then there is one other item also rarely mentioned before: a thick art book.

Will Americans get any of these goodies? Will Nintendo be gracious enough to release the special edition boxes on our shores? It's doubtful. In any case, we'll be able to play Hyrule Warriors on Wii U come September 26.
