A fan has gone ahead and given us a taste of what it would be like if newer Disney movies Tangled and Frozen were incorporated into Kingdom Hearts 3. As an added treat, Youtuber BlueNoctrn has also shared download links for these themes, for you to enjoy in your own time.
For the Tangled Field Theme, BlueNoctrn incorporated both songs ‘Flower Gleam and Glow’ and the ‘Enchanted Dominion’ theme from Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep. ‘Flower Gleam and Glow’ is the lullabye that plays which makes Anna’s hair grow, while ‘Enchanted Dominion’ is the song that plays in the Sleeping Beauty world. As I’m sure you will agree, the end result is seamless, and has dramatic overtones.
We also have two themes for Frozen as well. For the Frozen Field Theme, ‘Hills of Powdered Snow’, as well as the Frozen Battle Theme, obviously taken from and named ‘Do You Want To Build A Snowman?’ BlueNoctrn took audio cues from both the movie as well as the work of Yoko Shimomura. The results are wonderful on their own, and would make fitting themes for the actual game.
Yes, we don’t know for sure if either Frozen or Tangled would make it in Kingdom Hearts 3, but it is definitely not out of the question. Co-director Tai Yasue mentioned in an interview just last month that he enjoyed watching Frozen (a rare true Hollywood blockbuster in Japan, in fact). If there are any limits to doing this, it would be if they had not decided on it yet and are too deep in to add them now.
