You'd be forgiven for thinking that Nintendo skipped out on gamescom this year — can you really claim to be participating if you don't even have a press conference? But as E3 demonstrated, the House of Mario does just fine doing its own thing. There are sadly no new announcements, but we did get the above montage of 17 Wii U games, both upcoming and currently released.
It's great to see Splatoon once again — everyone seems to have stopped talking about it since E3. And seeing Bayonetta 2 rub elbows with a otherwise family-friendly cast of characters continues to provide no shortage of humor. Naturally, the whole video has to close out with another tease of next year's The Legend of Zelda.
