Hyrule Warriors: Watch Ghirahim and Zant Slice It Up

August 14, 2014 by Tony Ponce

The villains of Skyward Sword and Twilight Princess represent.

Thought we forgot about the latest Hyrule Warriors updates? Think again! Over the past week, Nintendo and Koei Tecmo have given fans a better look at Zant and Ghirahim, the other two playable baddies aside from Ganondorf. This newest pair of trailers shows how the duo tear up the battlefield.

The video above, starring Skyward Sword's Ghirahim, was just released today. He wields the Demon Blade and smokes his opponents with what I am affectionately calling "checkerboard magic." He even transforms into his sword spirit form for extra swift, teleporting carnage.

The clip below, released a couple of days ago, sticks Twilight Princess' Zant in the limelight. Swinging his dual scimitars with reckless abandon, he's far more unhinged than any other fighter on the roster. With his jerky movements, wild flailing, and even size manipulation, he's truly a foe to be feared — if only because of how insane he is.

Hyrule Warriors arrives on Wii U on September 26.
