We have the update – and possibly, the news – that you have been waiting for regarding Minecraft and 8th generation consoles.
4J Studios is done with the Playstation 4 version of Minecraft, including those pugnacious bug fixes, and it has been sent to Sony for certification. All that it needs now is a final test, approval, and scheduling to be published. As you can see from our cover image, they even prepared custom SCE characters for this version of the game, including the likes of Sly, Jak, Ratchet, and Kratos. Hopefully, everything goes smoothly so that the game can come out on this console soon.
On the flip side, the Xbox One and Playstation Vita versions still need bug fixing, and of course, 4J Studios will keep us up to date when its out. And yeah, obviously 4J and Mojang made the call to prioritize the leader among those consoles, knowing fans are looking for it, and that they are most likely to make the most profit off of it.
Still, the second statement was necessary to let fans know that they are still committed to making the Xbox One and Vita games. While it is not easy to share bad news like this in general, the important thing is managing expectations.
