Signal Studios' Toy Soldiers action-strategy series, which brings battlefield dioramas to life, is prepping for a third installment. While the first two games came to Xbox 360 and Windows under the Microsoft Studios banner, Toy Soldiers: War Chest will be published by Ubisoft for PS4, Xbox One, and Windows.
The previous two Toy Soldiers were small-scale (literally) reimaginings of World War I and Cold War campaigns. War Chest, however, leaves real-world reenactment behind for an adventure more befitting of a child's playroom. The Kaiser from the original game will now have to lead his German Empire against the Star Power army, which consists of fairies, unicorns, and teddy bears, led by the Barbie-esque Starbright. This was never a serious series, but War Chest takes the whimsy to a whole new level.
Two more armies will be announced closer to launch. For now, enjoy the trailer above and some of the screens below. Toy Soldiers: War Chest will arrive on PS4, Xbox One, and Windows in early 2015.
